“You can’t go wrong with this Kids MP3 player. Downloads are simple, product is sturdy and buttons are big and toddler friendly. My 7, 5, & 2 year old love this bombox. What I love most about the mp3 player is you can download any type of music and you’re not restricted to nursey rymes. I definately recommend.”
“My son just got this for his 3rd birthday. My toddler loves being able to control the music. We can’t wait to take it on road trips and listen to adult/normal music while he enjoys songs we added about ABCs, colors, etc. We plan on investing in earphones for an upcoming plane ride. It’s overall size, button size, and stability are great! The blue surface is rubbery and soft to the touch, as are the 4 buttons on the front. We were able to add an additional 143 kids songs in WMA format, and it’s still only about 1/2 full. (We used Windows Media Player’s lowest WMA quality setting to “rip” the songs off the CDs.) The speakers produce a decent quality sound but omit the bass, similar to most of his toys. The quality of our “rip” hasn’t affected its sound. This is more songs than I expected! ****The 4 starts instead of 5 is because of the Stop button, batteries installation, & price. 1) We found it odd that when you push stop, it stops and the next time you push play it restarts at the beginning of the song. This seems when teaching a child to stop, you want them to freeze not go forwards or backwards. If you want to stop mid-song you have to push the green music-note button to pause and again to restart in the middle. 2) The batteries are held in place by a screw only and are hard to change. Most kids toys the battery cover snaps in place by some latching mechanism and then has an added screw for child safety. This MP3 player’s batteries are kept in by a spring loaded plate with just 2 screws (no latch) and therefore while you are screwing your fighting the springs. 3)Price of $30-50 (March 2010) seems a bit much compared to comparable sized memory items for adults. We bought ours on sale.”
